Shout Expo, the exhibition arm of Preston based Shout Network, have confirmed the Lancashire Business Expo will return to Preston Guild Hall on 3rd April, 2020.
Since the unexpected closure of Preston Guild Hall in May of this year, there has been speculation within the business community around the venue for the Lancashire Business Expo which has always been held at Preston Guild Hall. Preston City Council have this week confirmed that the Lancashire Business Expo will be held at the Guild Hall in April 2020.
Chief Executive of Preston City Council, Adrian Phillips said, “We are delighted to be working with the Lancashire Business Expo to welcome businesses to Preston Guild Hall again in 2020. We recognise the value and importance of hosting the Expo in Preston and have made the necessary arrangements to guarantee the venue’s availability for the event.
In the meantime, we are working tirelessly behind the scenes to prepare for the relaunch of the Guild Hall. I can also confirm we will be hosting the General Election count in the Guild Hall in December.”
Director of Shout Network, Ian Coupe, welcomed the announcement saying, “This is the fantastic news we’ve been waiting for. Preston Guild Hall is synonymous with our flagship exhibition, the Lancashire Business expo, so we’re delighted that we will be returning there in 2020. We’re looking forward to working closely with Preston City Council to ensure that next year’s event, which welcomes over 1500 delegates every year, is more successful than ever.”
Headline partners for the expo will be Blackpool and the Fylde College (B&FC).
“As you’d expect from one of the region’s leading training providers we recognise the vital importance of learning from industrial experience,” said Claire Lee, B&FC’s business development director.
“And there are few better ways to learn the inside track on succeeding in business than from your peers in industry.
“That’s why we’re such big fans of Lancashire Business Expo and are delighted to be the event’s headline partner as it returns to one of the most spectacular meeting locations in Lancashire.”
Age Concern Central Lancashire will be the event’s Charity Partner. Exhibition space is being quickly snapped up by businesses following the announcement, with all 150 spaces expected to be filled before the end of the year.
