A leading Preston-based accountancy firm is inviting local property investors to a free briefing next month on the key tax and legal issues they need to know about.

Rotherham Taylor Limited is holding the event to help landlords navigate through the complex regulations that govern both their finances and the management of their properties.

The firm is extending the invitation in the wake of a raft of tough new rule changes that have come into effect in recent years that are affecting landlords, with the aim of helping them not only to remain compliant, but to thrive.
Landlords attending the event will hear from specialists at Rotherham Taylor Limited about a range of topics including changes to relief for repairs, changes to loan interest relief, Capital Gains Tax, the Furnished Holiday Letting Regime, the Non-resident Landlords Scheme and tax planning.

Meanwhile, Charles McDonald of Dowson Billington Solicitors will talk about the legal considerations that landlords need to be aware of to ensure their portfolios remain compliant.

The event will take place on Thursday 16 November 2017 from 4pm to 6pm at Deepdale Stadium.
Chloe Greenbank, a Manager at Rotherham Taylor Limited, said: “The tough new rules we have seen introduced have the real potential to hit landlords hard in the pocket.

“We are inviting landlords to join us so we can help them navigate through the complexity and understand how they can make their portfolios thrive, while remaining compliant with current legislation.
“I would urge established landlords, new landlords and those considering an investment in residential property to sign up today to attend the seminar.”

This is one of two free events that will be held by Rotherham Taylor Limited in November. On 10 November 2017 the firm will be holding a free business bookkeeping workshop from 8.30am to 9.45am to help businesses with a range of vital transactions and tasks.

Places at both events are set to be in high demand, so anyone wishing to attend should sign up today by visiting www.rtaccountants.co.uk/events.
