Our first ever Merseyside Business Expo took place at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool last Friday following on from our sell-out event, the Lancashire Business Expo, which takes place at Preston Guildhall every March.
Businesses across Merseyside welcomed us with open arms and for a first-time event made it what it was – amazing. From professional industries right through to creative, our exhibitors put so much effort into not just exhibiting but bringing a personality to their business.
We are beyond delighted to have had Openreach as our headline sponsor for our first event in Merseyside. Alongside Openreach, we were fortunate to have Johnson’s Toyota, Biffa Waste Services, UCLan, North West Air Ambulance and Guild Visuals all on board as our partners for this year’s event.
It was an extremely busy event when it came to vehicles in the exhibition centre with our partner’s, Johnson’s Cars bringing along a varied selection available from Toyota, PSV Media bringing their Beauty and the Beast pantomime wrapped bus for the Southport Theatre and Biffa bringing a brand-new waste truck.
Williams Group advertised two of their BMW’s too bringing along one of their hybrid vehicles. And we also had the opportunity to showcase our wonderful Shout Network car on our stand designed by Palmer Publicity Services who also exhibited at the Merseyside Business Expo.
Our Charity partner, the North West Air Ambulance, joined forces with Putting Edge who even brought a mini golf course so both exhibitors and visitors could have a go at putting some balls for charity, with all proceeds going to the NWAA.
When it came to prize draws, our exhibitors most certainly delivered! Of course, there was plenty of bubbly being given away along with a signed Everton football, plants, Beauty and the Beast pantomime tickets, a Google Home mini and much more!
The build-up to the big day of the Expo was ridiculously exciting and even more so on the day of the event proven by our absolute reach of 31 million on Twitter thanks to all our exhibitors and our visitors. The activity across all our social media platforms leading up to and on the day itself was incredible. As our Digital Media partner, Guild Visuals provided our Tweet wall for the day for everyone to see our tweets on the big screen!
With the Merseyside Business Expo, we were given the opportunity to meet a wide variety of people from different business sectors who all brought something different but exciting to the event. We believe business exhibitions are to put a personality to your business so that people want to work with you, and our exhibitors did exactly this and more! We even had Ariana Grande pop in with Merlin Entertainments! Lucky for us, we were able to share this event with such a warm group of individuals who we are so grateful to for putting so much effort into our event not just on the day, but beforehand too. Without every single partner, exhibitor and delegate who attended the Merseyside Business Expo, the event would not have been half as successful as it was.
